If you’re in any type of sales, you need a Facebook Business Page. Let me tell you why…

Here’s your first bit to chew on:

  • 1.18 billion daily active users on average for September 2016
  • 1.09 billion mobile daily active users on average for September 2016
  • 1.79 billion monthly active users as of September 30, 2016
  • 1.66 billion mobile monthly active users as of September 30, 2016

So I could really be done “talking” right there, right? But I like to talk…so we shall continue!

Your customers, current and potential, are on Facebook. End of story. You have to meet your customers where they’re at. I wasn’t a full believer, but I did it anyway 3 years ago. Because I knew I had to. Now let me tell you what I quickly found out.

Public Searches:

Facebook Business Pages are public pages. This means the content is searchable on any internet search. Do you use a phonebook anymore? I’m gonna go ahead and guess NO. When you want something, do you call 411? Or do you ask Siri? Or Google? Get where I’m going with this? The more information you put on your Facebook Business page, the more likely it is to pop up on a random person’s internet search. Do you want more business? “Here’s your sign…”

Customers are Savvy:

When you’re out and meet a new client, hand them a business card…they’re more likely to do a Google or Facebook search on you BEFORE they call you. They know how to shop around and find the best deal with the most reliable person. And they want to find someone who LOOKS like they’ve got their stuff together. Fake it til you make it! It’s so easy to set up a Facebook Business Page. Like…my kids could probably do it better than I can.

Want to see how easy it is? Check out this video as I walk you through step by step:

There’s a new epidemic called Linkaholic:

When you’re communicating with a client via email, text, phone, or maybe even a survey…if you send them a LINK…they cannot stand to NOT click on the link. They may hover over the link and try to resist, but they will CLICK. Have you ever seen the movie Fields of Dreams? “Build it, and they will come”. I’m not even lying. Having a Facebook Business page and being able to send them a link to it, will generate more business. It’s a trust factor. It’s almost like you’re not even legit if you don’t have a “link”. Now I’m not saying that’s true, but that’s the mindset of many. So JUMP! Build it. Then figure out how to work the rest as you go.

Brand Awareness:

Your customers are on Facebook. So why not interact with them? Why not give them a platform where they can interact with YOU? Why not give them a post they can share with their friends. Because they like you! And what do we do if we like something on Facebook? We share it!

Time Management:

So many people think they “can’t handle another page to manage”. But Melissa’s here to tell you, you’re wrong! I’m good for that. If you ever need someone to tell you that, just give me a ring;) Facebook Business pages actually save you TIME. Say what? That time sucking, black hole of a Facebook can save you time? Yep. Here’s how.

ALBUMS: You can create albums of pictures. Whatever you do…sell cookies, direct sales, realtors, business owners, etc. Create albums of things you provide your customers. Then when someone asks you for something, you have an entire album of ANSWERS that you can send them a LINK to. And remember….they can’t NOT click on the link, right? Professional, knock their socks off, answers. Because we live in a very fast paced world. And if they’re thinking about something, you better answer. And it better be enough to grab their attention.

VIDEOS: You can create videos, upload videos, do Facebook LIVE. And why in the world would you want to plant your face on a video? Trust. Connection. Relationships. Authenticity. Just a few words that come to mind. In my business, I can create a “hi my name is and this is who I am…” and add a LINK (mmm…hmmm) to my signature in my email, text, profiles, anything really! And they get to see ME. And you know what? It takes them right to your Facebook Business Page. They just got sucked in by that link before they ever knew what happened. LOL!

Sum of it all:

I could really go on for hours on this. But I need to eat some nachos, and you might too. So let’s just sum this up and say…”SUCK IT UP!”. If you are a business owner, you need to have a Business Page on Facebook. It’s where you’re customers are at and that means it’s where YOU need to be. Period.

Thanks for listening. Now go make your page!! 🙂
