What’s this LinkTree for Instagram all About?

So there’s a cool new website that allows you to make a “link tree” for your instagram account! It’s actually called Linktree.

My friend Te’Amo Blakely just casually mentioned it last night and I was like HOLY COW! This is awesome!

What is Linktree?

It’s a website that provides you with a unique URL to list in your Instagram profile. When they click on it, they will be led to your linktree site with multiple links available for them to click on! How wicked cool is THAT?!

How do you set up Linktree?


2. When you link your Instagram account, you’ll be led to a page like this to “add buttons” and links.

3. Then click on the SETTINGS button and you can choose your color scheme.

It was the easiest thing to do! There’s no tricks or crazy hoops to jump through.

You can even pick the colors for your page:

Way to go Linktree! You know we love to customize everything! And it looks like you’ll be able to personalize that even more soon!

I will say that I’m going to continue to watch this. I have been using a Google Survey as my link with lots of information loaded on it, and I really like it. I haven’t decided which one I will stick with.

Hostess Coaching Notes on your Facebook Business Page

And I’m going to show you how to create a NOTE for your hostess coaching! This is a tool your hostess can use to share all of her party information. Which of course, has all the information YOU need to share with people.

So what do you DO with this NOTE?

  1. Share with your hostess: You want to share this with your hostess and let her know she can share it onto her main timeline and shout about her party. She can email the link, she can Facebook message it, text it, whatever she wants! Just copy the URL at the top of the NOTE or simply click the SHARE button ON the NOTE.
  2. You can schedule a post with Cinchshare to go into your actual Facebook party ON YOUR BUSINESS PAGE. This will only work if you do your parties on your business page. Schedule to share the NOTE in the party and then do a giveaway for anyone who shares that note onto THEIR timeline to tell everyone their friend is hosting a party and see if they would like to order!

A Small but Might Victory from Using CinchShare

This is simply ONE example of what CinchShare can do for your business.

I want to send a reminder on the last day of each month to our team.

It’s important for NEW consultants to see this every month. And it’s important to remind our seasoned consultants.

So instead of posting today and forgetting next month…I’ve already scheduled this exact post to go out on the last day of the month for the next YEAR. BOOM.


Alright…who are the late birds entering orders today?!
For those of you who have been around the block, you KNOW you don’t want to wait until the last minute to enter your orders.
1. All orders with the March customer specials MUST be entered by tonight or they will fall off their order. So if you have orders entered for next month already, make sure no one has this month’s special.
2. If you go to enter your orders at 11pm. And someone’s credit card gets declined, you’re…well…kind of screwed! Because it’s going to be awfully hard to get a new credit card from someone at 11pm. So get those orders in EARLY!
3. I make all hostesses aware that I refuse to enter orders on the last day of the month. So all orders have to be in the day BEFORE. That way I never have to deal with this!
Congratulations on a great month and I cannot wait to celebrate all of you for your accomplishments next month!! Now let’s get ready to ROCK next month!! WOOT WOOT!

Creating CONSISTENT Sales in Your Thirty-One Business

Who doesn’t want a base of $500-$1000 (or more) in sales every single month? BEFORE you even add your catalog and home shows into the mix?

So the idea is…

  1. You host your OWN party every single month. Same timeframe! Every month. CONSISTENT. So your customers can count on this every month.
  2. You put VALUE into those retail orders that are usually not highlighted in your business.
  3. You give people a REASON to shop. You’re doing your job each month by highlighting the holidays, the specials, and the reason WHY they should buy that month.
  4. You’re giving people who don’t want to host a party an avenue to shop.
  5. You’re teaching your customer that YOU are a professional, you take your job seriously, and you are there to HELP them with their shopping needs. All about being USEFUL!

Everyone NEEDS this app! Download this app on your phone ASAP! I discovered this at our Leadership Council a year ago.


This has a GPS tracking system. When you drive, its tracks, when you stop driving-it tracks. You don’t have to put in start and stop #’s. It does it for you! You can go back in later and swipe whether the drive was personal or business. AND…you can also add notes to the GPS locations. So I can put in, post office/hostesses addresses/Dollar Tree/Walmart/Staples…all those frequent places so it’s easier for me to see where I went!

AND…it will email your list to you whenever you want. So you can have your mileage sent to you once a month to print and put in your tax binder. Seriously, it is AMAZING!! It is a must have for anyone in direct sales or running your own business! GENIUS!

January Thirty-One Guest Packet for Your Parties

This is my “push” for January at my parties. I love my binders. They go right along with my party presentation and it works perfectly!

Customer Special:

I love the clear pocket on the front to put the customer special on there. No more searching for it. This is an UPSELL and needs to be high lighted!

My Why:

on the back cover I have my family. This gives your customers a “window” to YOU. It’s a personal connection. These people are giving you their time and their credit card #’s. They should be able to get to know you and connect with you. And what better way than showing them who you really are?


Each month I will be including these in my packets. I did this about 6 months ago and people would literally point to a bundle and say, I want that one. Remember, some people simply come to a party to support their friend. And a confused mind will always say NO. But when you give them this visual, it’s so easy for them to say YES.

Ask Me About My Job:

I do this after I hand out my recruiting flier to each person. It’s a great way to open conversation about the opportunity.

Book a Party Flier:

This form is something I created and Bridgett Edwards illustrated for us. It is the single easiest way to walk through the benefits of hosting a show. Especially for our new consultants. This tool has been invaluable.

I made 20 binders and take 15 to my parties. The fit GREAT in 2 fold n files. I just take them out and set them on the coffee table at my party. And all my pins fit in the pockets of the fold n file. So it’s a great party addition that highlights a product too!

Don’t Be So Boring in 2016!

My customer page used to simply EXIST. I rarely post, didn’t have that many customers in there, it just kind of sat there. And when I did post…a whole lot of these followed…


Then I started being CONSISTENT. It all started with a goal I made in December of 2014. My goal was to make my customer Facebook page WORK. Not only to make it work, but to make it FUN!

So here is what I did:

1. I made a goal to increase the # of people in my group.

And I doubled my group this year. And I don’t just add people. NEVER just add people. You want THEM to request to be added.

A) I used things like the cutest pet contest and the cutest baby contest.

B) I also did things like this where people won prizes for adding their friends:


C) I also posted my LINK to my customer page in every single FB party I did the whole year.


D) I also just recently started posting the link to my group in my monthly customer email.

So those are just some fun ways to increase your #’s in your customer group.

2. I also wanted to increase the interaction!

I started being consistent with giveaways and posting. Why would my customers be active if I wasn’t?! So I started posting at least once a day, if not more. And what do ya know? I have a lot more interaction.

I’ve gotten bookings, recruits, and sales. It was AMAZING to watch what unfolded in my Facebook customer group over this last year. And all I had to do was SHOW UP:)

3. I wanted to be USEFUL!

My friend Linda Lollo stressed the importance to me last year… about making your page USEFUL. Make it INTERESTING. Make them WANT to read your posts. Make it THE place to be.

My customers don’t just get slammed with posts about purses. I’m not ONLY about purses; and neither are my customers. So why not be a little more versatile. Kind of like being MYSELF!

So I started posting:



~useful tips on everything from holidays to crafts to kid tips…you name it, I posted it!

They got to know ME this year. And it worked. Here’s an example of something I posted today:

This would be something great to start with the kids!

So there’s a few things I did. I really hope this helps you to think about a new direction for your customer group. I’ve gained so many friends, new hostesses, and sales from my Facebook Customer Page. It’s so worth it if you put the time into it and you simply be YOU. Don’t SELL to them. Just be useful and show them WHY they need your product. Show them PICTURES of product in use. Not just stock photos. That’s B-O-R-I-N-G !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Spice it up and have some fun in 2016!

Hostess Gifts for Your Direct Sales Party

I saw this idea on another board a couple years ago. And I found the supplies for $2 at the Dollar Tree today! Hostess gift for $2? Heck yeah!


You take a bag of rocks to your party. Make sure you get the flat sided ones.

I also got the glass heart bowl at the Dollar Tree.

Then you have each guest at the party write something about the hostess on their rock.

You can get fine tip paint markers (a few of them) and pass those around for them to use.

They can write:

~one word that describes the hostess

~a memory

~an inside joke

…anything they want!


And then you put all the rocks in the glass heart bowl and she has something to remind her how awesome she is…and something to remind her how awesome YOU are too;)
