Tag and Tell Posts for Your Direct Sales Business

Image Posted on Updated on

I love doing these kinds of posts. And I simply wanted to give you some thought behind WHY I do them and some tips on HOW to do them.

I posted this on my main Facebook timeline and my closed customer group. This particular one was for Valentines Day:

Now, you want to be very careful about your wording in the actual POST. Facebook does NOT like certain words: tag, tag a friend, giveaway, share this post, etc. Things like that will flag your post in facebook algorithms. And it will be less likely to show up in people’s newsfeeds.

So here is what I posted with the picture above:

I would love to surprise someone today! Nominate someone who you LOVE and deserves something special on Valentine’s Day!
I’m going to make up a special little package for one lucky person! Simply my way of sharing some love today.

Why do I do this?

  1. I get to bless someone’s day and make 2 people feel AMAZING!
  2. It helps me spread my business
  3. It tags someone ELSE who may not know about me or my business
  4. Everyone who is tagged, it shows up in THEIR newsfeed so THEY see it
  5. I get to send a gift, a catalog, and all my information.
  6. The person I send it to is blessed, and will never forget me
  7. The person who NOMINATED that person is blessed and will never forget that
  8. When you connect the heartstrings into your business, you will create lasting customers and friends

So have fun with your holidays!! And incorporate your business in a fun way:)

Halloween Planning for Your Thirty-One Business

Posted on Updated on

Holiday planning for your direct sales business is not an option!

I already have a plan laid out for October, November, and December! And my Halloween bags just arrived this week. These are 12×17 bags with a handle. Just like regular trick-or-treat bags. Find out what I’m doing with them below!

You can find these bags at: http://www.orientaltrading.com/sweet-halloween-trick-or-treat-bags-a2-25_8728.fltr?prodCatId=551313+1237

I’ll be putting hostess packets in these bags and closing them up. I’ll be taking them to parties with me and letting them know there is a “mystery surprise” inside for anyone who books a party. The bags are just adorable and it’s FUN. You always have to be switching things up and keeping it fun!

Right now, you should be planning what you’re doing for Halloween, Black Friday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Not only events and holidays, but also customer appreciation. And don’t forget giving back in your community!

You need to plan DATES. So once you figure out what you’re going to do, you need dates when everything starts and stops. Those dates are crucial to make sure you fit everything in!

And then…you thought I was done, hunh? You need to be training your team to do the same! Don’t have a team? Find some other direct sales consultants to meet for lunch and plan with you. It’s GREAT to get ideas from other people too!

Don’t know what to do? First time around the holidays with your direct sales business?

**GOOGLE! There’s tons of information out there

**Ask your upline, directors, other team members!!

**Search Youtube!! There is SO much great information on Youtube for direct sellers. This is one I made a year ago, but tons more will be coming this year:

So that simply gives you an idea that there are TONS of ideas out there. You just have to be willing to put the time into it! More than HALF of your business for the entire year will most likely be done in Oct/Nov/Dec. Are you ready for it?

DELETE-You Have My Permission

Posted on Updated on

One of my best friends, Tiffany Wellinghoff (genius #’s nerd friend of mine…she’s a midget too. And she always sends a text when I do this to her. So I LOVE it. LOL)… gave me one of the BEST tips ever!

She said you have my permission to DELETE and UNSUBSCRIBE.

Make yourself a challenge for this entire week. Every morning when you check your inbox, don’t just delete those pesky emails. UNSUBSCRIBE. Take one week to unsubscribe and get rid of some of the clutter in your inbox. It only takes a second to do, but you have to MAKE yourself do it.

So Payless Shoes, and concert ticket venues, and Staples, and Target, and QVC, and Aeropostale, and JC Penny, and New York & Company, and American Eagle, and the list goes on and on…STOP DELETING THEM and UNSUBSCRIBE!!

You have been challenged!!

The other thing is to DELETE. Block off 2 hours this week. Anywhere, just SOMEWHERE. Could be 30 minutes a day waiting for your kid to come out of football practice. Whatever it is, block it off. And go through every single daggone email in your inbox. And DELETE.

Start uncluttering your life.

It took me 2 and a half hours to get through all my emails yesterday. And I’m soooooo glad I did it. Kids are back in school. And I’ll be happy to take you along with me on my journey to getting back into my groove. They literally started back to school today. And I’m ready to ROCK this fall season. But I can’t do it without everything around me in order.

Tracking Your Hostesses in Your Direct Sales Business

Video Posted on Updated on

I wanted to show everyone a system that has worked VERY well for me in tracking my hostesses each month. It helps to keep everything I need for my hostesses: orders, contact information, and all information pertaining to her Thirty-One party. First, check out this video where I explain how I use this to track my Thirty-One hostesses: The best thing about this hostess coaching tracking binder, is that I can take it ANYWHERE. So when I’m going to pick up kids, or going out of town, or sitting at practice for one of the kids…I can take this with me and get a TON of work done! Working smarter not harder! It’s SO easy to take control of your hostess coaching for your Direct Sales business. Would you like my hostess tracking sheet? Cause you can have that too. We’re all in this world for a reason. My reason is to help others. So enjoy my hostess tracking sheet. I LOVE it because it allows me to track mileage, outside orders, hostess information, gifts, etc. GREAT for tax purposes too! I found this a few years ago from someone else, I wish i knew who to give credit to. But I adapted it to fit my personal hostess coaching needs with checkboxes and other things like that. So thank you to whoever posted the original file for me! HOSTESS TRACKING SHEET: Click here: https://buymybagsblog.wordpress.com/melissas-shared-documents/. It’s under Hostess Documents and it’s called Hostess Tracking Sheet I use the Arc system. This is a folder you can ONLY buy at Staples. It costs $10.49 for the started binder looking thingy-ma-jig. This is mine, and there’s a link below it to show where you can purchase it online: 4 PURCHASE THIS AT STAPLES FOR $10.49:  http://www.staples.com/M-by-Staples-Arc-Customizable-Hibiscus-Design-Notebook-System-Black-White/product_886420?cid=PS:GooglePLAs:886420&ci_src=17588969&ci_sku=886420&KPID=886420&kpid=886420&gclid=Cj0KEQjw1duqBRDPlLKsuJCUiuABEiQAxgHwJ3TXKYndWJDfe_WiXvQIhmW9Grg2aGhdpClbgjl1-KEaAsLk8P8HAQ I also use these zip pocket folders that go into the Arc. I like them because I can keep all their orders and their hostess tracking sheet nice and handy. Each hostess has their own pocket. So you can decide what your average # of hostesses a month is, and then buy a few more than that, just in case you’re having a rock star month;) This is mine below, just showing you how the pockets fit in there. The link to purchase them is below the picture: 3 PURCHASE THE ZIP POCKETS FOR $6.00 (2 PACK):  http://www.staples.com/M-by-Staples-Arc-System-Poly-Zip-Pockets-Clear-8-1-2-x-11-/product_321297 I also like having my calendars in there, so I bought the page protectors to go in them too. They come in a pack of 25, but they’ve lasted me a year, because I don’t use these for much else than the calendar. You may or may not want this in yours. Just showing you mine! I print the calendars by simply googling “free calendars” and printing them on my own. I like to be able to mark parties, important dates, etc. I really don’t know WHY…but I can only find those Arc specific page protectors in the actual store. I have not been successful in finding them online.  2   And the last picture is showing you my hostess tracking sheets folded in half, in the zip pocket.  5   Happy hostess tracking!! 31 Booking flier for your home shows or mailings

Posted on Updated on

Oh my goodness! Wait until you see this! My presentation for my home parties was lifted to a whole new level when I created the recruiting flyer to hand out at parties. Bridgett Edwards is our graphic Designer, lots of love to her!

But I really wanted to have the same visual tool for my bookings. So boy did we create it! Check out this video and see what we’ve pulled off now 🙂

As a direct sales consultant, VISUAL is the key. You’re not going to get their attention until you SHOW them what they can get for enrolling or booking a show. Figure out what it is you want them to see, and pay someone if you have to, to make that visual for you. I wonder if Bridgett has kept the chicken scratch drawings I send her. And I wonder how many times she has slapped her forehead when I’ve sent those to her…LOL!

Anyways, talk is cheap, here is the link to the file and you can go right to Melissa’s Shared DOcuments each month to get the new one:)  https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=72185d5634f2046%21149

Happy Booking ladies!
