I know that the mere thought of Twitter makes some people twitch. I got it. It’s a platform that many don’t know very well and that scares you! But I can honestly say it’s one of the EASIEST social media platforms out there. And I want to show you how you can be ON there in 5 minutes a week!

Twitter Facts:

Here’s the facts: Twitter has 319 million monthly active users. Can you really afford to NOT be on it? I’m going to be brutally honest and tell you Twitter is not my favorite place to be. But with 319 million people actively using it every month, I’m smart enough to know I want my business included in those statistics. You have to at least have the bare minimum to make sure YOUR business is represented to those masses.

So let’s break it down:

I have made it my job to have at least ONE tweet a day on Twitter. And I’ve made it SO easy for you to duplicate what I’ve done with TWO 2 minute videos below. I’m going to show you how to increase your recruiting AND promote your Instagram account while you’re at it!

Why do you NEED to be on Twitter:

Well, here’s how I see it. Besides the masses of people on there everyday, the younger generation is HUGE on Twitter. So let’s say I meet a 20 something year old and I’m telling her about my business. She says, “Oh! Are you on Twitter?”

You say NO: You’ve just lost her. She knows that you are not her people. You were just straight kicked out of her tribe. Because that’s where she “lives”

You say YES: knowing you hate the platform, but you followed Melissa’s advice and take 5 minutes a week to follow these easy steps, you said YES! And now you have the young pup’s full attention and respect.

Now, I say this lightly. There are many “older folks” who LOVE Twitter. With 319 million active users, I’d say quite a few love it. And while I don’t LOVE it, you’d better believe I’m on it, just to say I AM.

Create an Offer on your Facebook Business Page

This is one of the coolest tools on your Facebook Business Page!

You can create an OFFER! Check this out:

So what would you link it to?

  1. Link to your opportunity page. When someone asks you for information on the opportunity, you can share the link for this offer and it will send them directly to YOUR site!
  2. When someone asks about booking, you can send them directly to YOUR site with the booking tab on your site. So they can see the benefits of hosting a party with you.
  3. Create an offer for a tab that links to the customer specials on your site.
  4. Create a “landing page” on your blog or Facebook page that talks about joining a Hostess of the Month Club, hosting a fundraiser, literally anything you want!

How can you share it?

  1. When someone asks about information, you have it at your fingertips and you look incredibly professional!
  2. You can share these in your Facebook events
  3. You can share these in your customer group

Want to know something extra cool?

When someone clicks on this, they will get a REMINDER notification about whatever they clicked on!! How cool is that?!

Go to your page

There is a menu on left hand side

Click on manage tabs

Click on “add tab”

Click on “offers”

BAM! You just added it to your page!

Thirty-One Facebook Party Planning

Facebook parties are a HUGE part of Direct Sales these days. Wouldn’t you like to spend some time increasing your recruiting, booking, and sales?

Well, I am. And I made this form to help me PLAN my party better. Check this out:

Things you need to think about planning in your party. Here’s a simple rundown of what I think is important to include:

  1. Holiday relevance to your product and how it relates to any upcoming holidays
  2. Games
  3. Booking- hostess specials
  4. Join your customer group
  5. Recruiting Information
  6. Your personal booking incentive
  7. Live FB video
  8. Monthly Customer Specials
  9. Introduction

Once you have the important things plugged in, then you can fill it with fun “selling” posts showing off your product.

**And ALWAYS try to ask a question in each post to keep it interactive!

Since I’ve started planning my Facebook parties, they simply FLOW better. They just make sense. So I highly encourage you to really take some time and put some thought into what it is you would like to do with your Facebook parties and get creative!

Host Your own Fashion Show in January!

Here’s a FUN idea for January that will:

  1. Get January sales
  2. Get February bookings
  3. Increase #’s in your customer group
  4. Increase participation in the Facebook event
  5. And make life easier by integrating all these ideas into ONE event!

So I’m basically taking all my January ideas and getting them all into one group!

I’m going to use my normal January Facebook Party Script which you can find here:


I’m going to take out a few of those posts and add in the SNEAK PEEK posts. I’ll post one SNEAK PEEK a day.

I’m going to be doing daily giveaways of $1 Lottery Tickets. They won’t know what that prize is, just a mystery prize each day for participation in the event.

When I mail that lottery ticket, I’ll be mailing with a card that says, “didn’t win ? Win BIG and turn this in for $10 off your February party when you book your own SPRING party in February!”

I also created a POLL in my customer group to get some buzz going. If you don’t know hwo to do that, here’s a video: HOW TO CREATE A POLL


I’ll be reminding everyone that anyone who orders on this party will also be mailed their very own Spring Catalog. That is something I’m personally doing, not the company. I’m using my commission from this party to mail those catalogs!

So here’s the deal!

It’s January. And that means refocus. Reorganize. Recover from the holidays. Set priorities for the new year. And ORGANIZE your life.

What better time to throw an organizing party?!

Here’s what I want you to do.

  1. Set up a party on your website called Organized in 2017 (or some clever name you come up with)

For 10 days, you’re going to come up with TEN products that help YOU organize your life with Thirty-One.

Each day, you’re going to:

  1. Post a picture or group of pictures of that product and how you can use it to organize. And don’t forget the actual LINK to that product.
  2. Then you’re going to go FACEBOOK LIVE in your customer group and show them that ACTUAL product in your house. Super quick, super easy.

And you’ve already told everyone that ANYONE who orders $35 or more in January, will be getting a brand new Spring Catalog. So make sure you remind them of that in EACH Facebook Live video.

I LOVE to do fundraisers! They are one of my favorite parts of this “job” of mine!

I’ve been doing fundraisers for about 7 years now. I’m going on 8 years of being a consultant! So everything runs like clock work when you host a fundraiser with me! I want to show you all the fun and unique ways we can do fundraisers to help you and your organization or cause.

So how do I do them?

And HOW can I help YOU and your organization?

Here’s the TOP 5 ways we can run a fundraiser to benefit YOU!

The great thing about these things, is that you can COMBINE any and all ways that you love! Combining a few different ways will ensure your team’s success when it comes to hosting a fundraiser with me!

#1 Online Party

This is SO easy! We have a link to your fundraiser on my website and everyone can follow the link to order. 30% of all orders are donated to your organization. All participants get a packet of goodies with a catalog, fliers, and order forms.

#2 Home Show

You can host a home show and invite all your friends and family to see the product themselves and order there!

#3 Facebook Event

Facebook events are GREAT to show people product usage and great ideas on HOW they could enjoy some Thirty-One in their lives while donating to a great cause. I set the entire event up for you and all you have to do is invite your friends. All ordering is done online. Easy peezy!

#4 Trunk Party

You’re already at practice, or church, or somewhere with all your friends. Why not invite them all to a special night where they can literally see all the products and order at a convenient location where they’re already going to be!

#5 Team Party

Each parent takes a hostess packet and collects orders individually and we enter as one big party! This is the most successful way. Each parent has a link to their own orders. It’s easy to track. AND…parents have an incentive from ME if they hit a certain amount in sales!

*Combine this with the online and Facebook event, and there’s no limit to what you can earn for your organization!

January Booking Idea #1:

It’s January.

The hustle and bustle of the holidays is over. As moms and business owners and women just trying to keep our families together during this time, we’re exhausted.

Literally. I sit back after the holidays and think, where in the world did the last 3 months go? Life is FAST. We lose a little bit of touch with reality, friends, and it’s time to slow down.

So why not grab ahold of that?

Here’s an idea to get together. To catch up with friends, stop for moment and reconnect and unwind. Who doesn’t love happy hour?

I want to get people together for something I’m dubbing “it’s a Friends Kinda Thing”.

Get 2 people to split hostess rewards for a $600 show.

Each collects $300 and we literally go to meet and collect orders, and tally orders, at happy hour. So they can invite one or two of their closest friends and we can just TALK. And LAUGH. And catch up on life with our friends. I’m bound and determined to get at least ONE of these parties booked. I’m going to think of people in my customer group that I already know they know each other and are friends. And I’m going to reach out to them together.

Host an online/Facebook party as normal, collect some orders on the side…and then seriously…let’s just go have FUN and be WOMEN. And talk about mom things, and husband things, and work things, and holiday nightmares, and in laws, and anything else we’d like to get off our mind. Maybe I’m so passionate about this one because I ALREADY KNOW I NEED IT myself.

Here’s how to start your Thirty-One Gifts Hostess of the Month Club!

So if you’ve ever wondered how to start a Thirty-One Gifts Hostess of the Month Club, here’s your start!

Watch this video and see the exact video I posted in my customer group to get ready for our next round of filling a club for 2017:

The idea is simple.

You have 6 ladies who join a HOTM Club.

Each member agrees to purchase $35 a month, by the 13th of the month.

They can either purchase themselves or collect an order from a friend.

They get their own secret group on Facebook so you can spoil them.

Now some people do this for 12 months. Some people do this where they order every other month. I like to keep my simple and easy. $35 a month for 6 months. And they get an extra reward when they join a club for the SECOND time, or third time, and so on.

Why do this?

It’s guaranteed sales every single month.

I get recruits from every single group I do. Because they fall in love.

I have consistent sales to earn company incentives.

And I have loyal customers who are spreading the word about my business every single month.
