Every month, I ask my customer group to help me with some questions for our team’s Facebook script.

Creating a Facebook poll is an easy way to get a quick answer!

What is a Facebook Poll?

A Facebook poll is a posting “option” in your groups. You can ask a question with a series of pre-made answers. They can simply check one of the boxes or even add their own answer to the polling question. It’s pretty neat!

This option is only available in Facebook groups unless you use a third party app. Some of those allow you to create polls on your Facebook timeline and business pages.

How do you create a Facebook Poll?

When you go to create a post, you’ll see this:

What kind of questions can you ask?

  • What’s your favorite fast food restaurant?
  • What is one room in your house that you need to organize?
  • What is your favorite Thirty-One print this season?
  • Here’s our top 10 products, which one is your favorite?
  • If you could be any superhero, who would it be?
  • You can go on vacation today…which location would you choose (list beach, amusement park, cruise, bahamas, etc.)

Product Spotlight:

One thing great to do, would be to ask your customers which product they would like to learn more about. This is a great way to see what THEY want to see.

Training Topic:

What if you asked them what they’d like to learn more about for the next couple of weeks. And then yo did some research and found some really cool stuff on the topics?

The idea is that you can ask ANYTHING! And it’s just a fun new way to interact.

2. Do consultants have a monthly/quarterly quota to stay active?
To stay active with Thirty-One, consultants only need to submit $200 in sales every rolling three months. A qualifying party for Thirty-One is only $200! Very easy to stay active!

3. Does the company supply consultants with a website? If so, what is the cost?
The cost is $15 a month. That is an optional cost, not something you HAVE to have. And you can cancel that at any time.

4. How do I submit orders?
You submit orders via your personal website in what we call our “Back Office”. Here you will place party orders, create online orders, and do business supply orders

5. Can my customers order from my website?
Yes! Your customers can go directly to your website and place an order or re-order without hosting a shopping event.

6. What is my initial cost to become a consultant?

You can do JUST catalog parties and online parties if that is what fits your schedule.  A catalog party is when you give someone a hostess packet and they just collect orders from their friends and family and turn them in to you.

  1. Do consultants have a monthly/quarterly quota to stay active?

To stay active with Thirty-One, consultants only need to submit $200 in sales every rolling three months. A qualifying party for Thirty-One is only $200! Very easy to stay active!

  1. Does the company supply consultants with a website? If so, what is the cost?

The cost is $15 a month.  That is an optional cost, not something you HAVE to have. And you can cancel that at any time.

  1. How do I submit orders?

You submit orders via your personal website in what we call our “Back Office”. Here you will place party orders, create online orders, and do business supply orders

  1. Can my customers order from my website?

Yes! Your customers can go directly to your website and place an order or re-order without hosting a shopping event.

We get paid by direct deposit on the 10th and 25th of each month. You can also choose to have a paper check sent to you if you don’t want direct deposit.

One Week of Simplifying your Direct Sales Business-Post 2

Here we go! Yesterday we talked about the need to simplify all aspects of your direct sales business. We focused on hostess packets specifically.

Today…is clean up day:

  1. Clean up your emails
  2. Clean up your computer

STEP 1:

How many of you get unwanted emails from: Staples, Kohls, Best Buy, magazines, stores you’ve bought from, etc.?

Do you know how much time a messy inbox takes from you? A LOT.

I want you to start UNSUBSCRIBING from every single email that doesn’t benefit you in some way. No more spam. Get rid of all of it.

There’s also a website called https://unroll.me/ that will do this FOR YOU. You may not even know how many you’re subscribed to. But this website will get you out of ALL of them that you choose. You can actually click the ones you want to be removed from.

STEP 2:

How many of you have over 200 emails in your inbox?

I want you to take an hour and GET RID OF THEM. Set aside some time to get it under control.

You’re not helping yourself to see the important messages you NEED to see, when it’s full of junk and things you don’t need. You should make it a goal to clean up your inbox weekly.

For important emails you don’t want to lose…make folders! ORGANIZE your CHAOS! 🙂

Organize your desk top into folders.

How much time do you waste looking for files? Can’t find this, can’t find that. Team member asks you for something and you spend 20 minutes looking for something? Not me. I can send something in less than 60 seconds of someone asking me for something!

This is just an example of a FEW folders I have. But I have a folder for EVERYTHING. When someone asks me for something, I know right where it’s at. When I see something great, I save it into that folder. I have files from 2010…I have an entire library of things at my fingertips because of how organized my desktop is.

New Fiscal Thirty-One Year Means a New Time to PLAN

It’s a new Thirty-One Fiscal Year. That means it’s time to do a few house cleaning things in your business.

  1. You need to assess what worked.
  2. You need to assess what didn’t work.

Without understanding how your year went, you have no basis to move forward and improve in any way.

Last year, I focused on New Consultants. And simplifying my business. And you know what improved? New Consultant qualification rate and my own personal sales. Funny thing happens when you FOCUS on something…you IMPROVE it.

This year, my “word” is SIMPLIFY and SYSTEMS.

Last year I removed all the bells and whistles. From everything. I got back to the basics of my business:

  1. Booking

  2. Recruiting

  3. Sales

  4. Customer Service

I looked at every aspect of what I was DOING. And then figured out how I could simplify the process to: remove any confusion, make it time efficient for ME and my customers, to make sure it was income producing, and to evaluate if it was even WORKING. I learned a lot about my business last year. And it was my highest sales in 8 years. Last fiscal year, you saw my Facebook party go from 2 weeks, 2 7 days, to 4 days. Intentional. And now it’s working better than ever before.

So all week I’m going to be giving you tips on simplifying your business and creating systems that WORK.

And my first tip to you today, SIMPLIFY your hostess coaching and your hostess packets. I removed all the extra pages, the scratch offs, the 2 page hostess coaching explanation, the envelopes, the invitations, EVERYTHING. You know what has gone in my hostess packets for the last year?

  1. 3 catalogs
  2. 5 order forms
  3. How to order guide
  4. monthly special flier
  5. Bundles sheet flier (the monthly customer special bundle deals)
  6. recruiting flier
  7. 5 mini catalogs with a postcard that shows them “how to order from my party” for the hostess to hand out to her friends

I found that my hostesses were not USING anything. They weren’t looking at anything. I was wasting time and money on so many things that weren’t working. The invitations I was mailing were not income producing. The bells and whistles weren’t working.

I make up these hostess packets ahead of time and the only thing I have to add is the monthly special flier and bundle flier. I simplified the system SO much…that envelopes are ready to mail with my return address label on them already. Only thing I have to do is add those 2 fliers, put it in the envelope, add their address, and mail it. No more dropping off either. It’s systematic now. They all get mailed. Does it cost me a penny? yeah. But they get out immediately. It’s not hanging over my head, I don’t forget, and it’s FAST. My hostesses appreciate it and rely on it now.

So today…take a moment to look at your systems.
