So many people sign up for Direct Sales with the assumption that they won’t really have to work.

If you’re in this for a hobby, that is an absolute truth: you really don’t have to work at it.

If you’re in this to make an income or achieve a financial goal: you couldn’t be farther from the truth.

You can’t expect to make a substantial difference in your finances if you’re not willing to put in the work to get it.

Using Power Hours can help you run your business in 20 minutes a day.

If you’re not willing to work 20 focused minutes a week, in certain areas of your business, then quite frankly-you don’t DESERVE that paycheck you’re complaining about NOT GETTING!

People ask me ALL THE TIME…how do you do it. I’m sorry to inform you, there is no secret. It’s hard work. That’s it.

Tried and true, get up and get to work every single day. The RENT IS DUE EVERY SINGLE DAY. You want to make money in this business, PUT IN THE WORK. People seem to want the benefits without the commitment. You can’t have one or the other. You get exactly what you put into this business. Plain and simple. I don’t do magic tricks. I don’t do anything YOU can’t do. I don’t skate by on my good looks and charm, trust me, I live 90% of my life covered in babies bodily fluids and food. You just have to get to work.

WHEN YOU WANT SUCCESS AS BAD AS YOU WANT TO BREATHE, YOU’LL BE AS SUCCESSFUL AS YOU WANT TO BE.

Take 20 minutes a day. Dedicate 20 minutes to ONE of 5 focused tasks per day.

  1. Booking
  2. Customer Service
  3. Recruiting
  4. Marketing
  5. Hostess Coaching

Monday Booking:

Spend 20 minutes working on booking parties. Whether these are Facebook parties or home shows, you still have to ASK. Spend this 20 minutes:

~personally reaching out to people

~creating a game or graphic to book

~do a FB live talking about the hostess special

~contact PAST hostesses from the previous years

~make hostess packets and post a picture on social media-and make them COOL so everyone wants one!

There’s a million things you could do.

 

Tuesday Customer Service:

Spend 20 minutes creating a buzz.

~send a thank you email to anyone who has ordered in the last week

~contact each person who ordered the previous month and make sure they’re happy with their product (and have you seen the new specials?)

~contact anyone who has open orders and make sure they knew about the customer specials if they didn’t order one

~go comment on all your open parties and start some conversations with the guests

~scroll through Facebook and actually interact with your customers on THEIR pages

 

Wednesday Recruiting:

~touch base with all your new consultants within the last 3 months

~reach out to any potential consultants

~don’t have any potential consultants? create an opportunity event and GET ONE!

~put some pins on Pinterest about joining

~create a youtube video or FB live about joining…then share into all your FB parties!

 

Thursday Marketing:

This is all social media to me. Sharing my love of my product on all the different social media sites. And because I love it, this isn’t even work. This is my play time!

~schedule some tweets in Cinchshare

~pin some things from your Cinchshare history onto Pinterest

~schedule some Instagram posts onto Twitter/FB business page

~go post your social media links in all your parties

~create a contest on a social media channel and direct all your customers to it

~create a newsletter to email your customers

 

Friday Hostess Coaching:

Spend 20 minutes contacting every hostess.

~ask them if they need any extra order forms or catalogs

~tell them what their total is for online orders so far

~give them a task to do that day: post this, tag 3 friends on some posts in your party, or text this to 3 people today

~tell them how much farther they are from the next level and TELL THEM HOW TO GET THERE!

 

This is just a small breakdown of a HUGE list you should already have! 20 minutes a day. If I can do it, YOU can do it!

Each day of the week I post a list of things our team can work on for a specific topic. This week, I’ll be posting those each day for YOU…so you and your teams can find some focus and tips also!

These are scheduled in Cinchshare.com, so it makes my job easy to help THEM.

Here is Monday, Hostess Coaching tasks:

Monday

20 Minutes a Week of HOSTESS COACHING

• Send thank you letters to all hostesses from past week
• Send your hostess the hostess portal link and password so she can fill out her guest list. Those emails
will FOREVER be in your back office. Do whatever you have to in order to get your hostess to fill out her
guest list
• Ask for your hostesses Top 3. Mail them a packet with an incentive to collect $50 in orders for your
hostess
• Send a Red Stamp reminder to your hostess for a “Last chance to order”. She can email, Fb message, FB
post, or text her friends with her party info
• Send happy mail to past hostesses
• Input any orders
• Message ALL hosts. Ask how they’re doing and if they need anything
• Message ALL hosts and let them know how much in online orders they have
• File old parties into a binder/folders…however you file those
• Fill out new hostess tracking sheets or however you track your hostess. You BETTER be tracking your
hostesses. You need all their information in ONE spot
• Make hostess packets
• Follow up with hostesses to make sure everything was okay with the product they received
• Check shipping status of party and update hostesses
• Ask your hostess for her top 5 products she wants to earn for free. Keep her engaged. I tell mine I will
show her top 5 favorites at the party. Chances are, her friends may have similar tastes.
• Send her a few tips on getting some extra orders if she’s having a hard time
• Tell your hostess if she sells 5 customer specials before a certain date, she’ll get one for free (if it’s
cheap and you think you could add it to someone else’s order). Or tell her you’ll take $5 off her order. Something to give her the goal!

Marketing your direct sales business. All it takes is 20 minutes of focused time.

When you focus on something, you expand it. And when you focus on marketing, you will:

  1. Increase sales by reaching out to new and old customers
  2. Increase bookings and recruits by referrals. Because everyone knows YOU sell Thirty-One and are open for business
  3. Have your customers spreading your business for you through social media avenues
  4. And create an environment in your community where YOU are the “go to” girl!

I have compiled a list of tasks you can work on during your 20 minutes of Marketing. It’s SO easy. But you have to be committed to your business and focus on expanding your efforts to increase your marketing to your community (online as well as locally). You’ll find the file below. You can print the form and literally just go down the list when you need to work on your marketing for that 20 minutes. You have officially lost your excuse NOT to work on marketing, because I’ve given you an entire sheet of things to work on!

I live and breathe by the 20 minute Power Hour for your Direct Sales business. Years and years ago, I listened to a Belinda Ellsworth CD on Power Hour. I couldn’t really afford to go buy her files and systems. So I created my own. And it was the best thing I ever did for my business. So I want to share a little piece of that with you. Check out this video. This is the first video in a series you will get this week. Find details below and listen to the reasoning and WHY you need to use a Power Hour for your business.

Direct Sales is NOT hard. But you have to be committed. This quote I heard rocked my boat a little and I simply had to share it.

I love the pocket dividers because I can put my extra papers in there. I can also add papers to the pockets, so I could throw them in there unitl I had time to work on that portion of my business. So any leads, I just throw them in the pocket 🙂

I got all my supplies at Walmart

I have 100% faith that anyone can do this. YOU can do this! All you need is to stop making excuses of why you can’t find time, and figure out when you CAN find 20 minutes to get it done!

20 minute power hour incentive for my Thirty-One team

This is all about consistency in your Direct Sales business. Working the Power Hour for 20 minutes a day, can launch your Thirty-One business into a whole other level. I’m trying very hard to relay that to my team and make the entire thing duplicatable.

I’m very good at mimicking every single thing I do for my team. I want them to see me working. I want them to see where my success is coming from.

If you’re a leader in Thirty-One, you should be doing just that…LEADING. Doing what you’re asking your team to do, and then some.

If you’re a consultant, find someone to follow. Find someone who inspires you and mimic what THEY do. They don’t even have to be in Thirty-One. My inspiration comes form my friend Melanie Moore who works for another Direct Sales company. But surround yourself with successful people, get to work, and drown out all the other noise. I’m successful because I don’t see problems, only SOLUTIONS.

So I hope this helps you to see how EASY it is to get a system to work your business in 20 minutes a day:

#3: I will be making up 5 hostess packets and taking a picture of them. This will be in prep for a booking post I will be working on tomorrow for the 12 weeks of summer!!!
