Schedule Theme Days Easily in Your Customer Group

Posted on Updated on

It’s really important to stay consistent in your Facebook Customer Groups. And using theme days can help you do that!

80/20 Rule:

Make sure you’re posting 80% valuable content and 20% sales. If they’re in your group, they KNOW you sell whatever if it is you sell. You don’t have to shove it down their throats! What you NEED to do is provide VALUE. Show them you are there to provide a service to THEM. ¬†Your business page is where you should be selling! And every now and then you can share that post from your business page into your customer group.

Here’s some examples:

Monday Motivation: quotes

Monday Giggles: make them laugh

Tuesday Tips: your business tips to make their life easier with your product

Tuesday Treats: your product tips

Way Back Wednesday: post something nostalgic

Thursday Passion: post something YOU love. For instance, I’m doing easy cooking recipes each Thursday because I love to cook! Love to shop? Post coupons or deals from other places, etc.

Friday FUN Day: ask everyone what they’re doing this weekend, give them something fun to do with the family

Gather these posts to schedule in Cinchshare and you’ve just created the best time saving tool you’ll ever make in your business:

Watch this 5 minute video to see how I gather these posts into a secret group and then schedule out an entire month in less than 5 minutes!

I would love to hear what theme days YOU use. Or what you COULD use! Post in the comments below!

How to Design a Graphic with Canva

Posted on Updated on

Creating your own content for your business is crucial and Canva can help you do that!

Learn where to find FREE graphics to use AND create some amazing designs in Canva!

You have to be different:

If you’re posting the same graphics as 10,000 other consultants, there’s not much that stands out in your business. When you create your own graphics, you show your customers you are invested in your business. It shows¬†you care about your business. Seth Godin said it best (in a book titled The Purple Cow) when talking about marketing. All cows look the same…but a PURPLE COW…now that would be cool! That’s what marketing is¬†all about, STANDING OUT!

It takes time:

Just like everything worth doing, it takes time to learn. But if you simply work¬†20 minutes a day on graphics when you’re starting out, you will be SO PROUD of what you can learn and accomplish in Canva. I know because I did it! And I had NO CLUE what I was doing in Canva when I first started. I actually learned by watching a set of tutorial videos on Cinchshare’s YouTube channel. Heili breaks the basics of Canva down for you here in a series of short videos: Cinchshare Canva Tutorials

We did a ZOOM webinar training on how I walked through and created some engagement posts for our Facebook Group: Directly Social

Check out this video tutorial on Canva:

Find free graphics to use:

Everybody always asks where I find my free graphics to use. Pixabay is a site where you can find tons of free graphics to start creating your own. You can search any topic, color, or emotion you want, and then add your own personal touches in Canva!

And don’t forget to join our Facebook group so you can get daily social media tips and tricks: Directly Social

Let’s Talk Business Etiquette for Direct Sales

Posted on Updated on

There’s been some things going on that we need to chat about!

#1 on that list: someone decided to start some rumors that Melissa is leaving Thirty-One. 100% FALSE. Let’s just put that out there. Thirty-One is the heart of my passion and love for direct sales and social media. And I would NEVER in a MILLION YEARS walk away from that. So, in short, NO. I’m not going anywhere. Y’all are stuck with me!

I am working as an Independent Social Media Strategist. I’m doing what I love! I get to train and travel and be ME. And it’s a huge dream come true to be able to have TWO jobs that I am so passionate about! That’s the jist of it. Nothing more, nothing less. I’m pursuing ALL my goals and dreams this year. So you can tell everyone to ZIP IT;)

#2: We need to talk business etiquette. So please take a listen to this video. I’m going to start promoting my business on my personal and customer business page. And I need people to respect my space on that. And this goes for ALL consultants! You should be following these simple rules for every sister in direct sales. There’s a way to do things, and a BIG way to NOT do things.

What is okay?

Posting on someone’s picture:

  1. that’s so cool
  2. what an awesome job!
  3. congratulations!
  4. i love that color!

What is NOT okay?

  1. what did you put in that packet?
  2. where did you buy those bags?
  3. how much was shipping?
  4. do you mail this to all your hostesses?

Those kind of comments immediately turn the post into SPAM. Don’t do it. I’ve been hesitant for years to post my customer group link, my customer page, all kinds of things. And it’s time for me to GROW. So everyone needs to understand that my personal posts, my customer group page, and my Business Customer Page on Facebook are OFF LIMITS to consultants!

I’m ready to teach you all how to grow your businesses in 2017! I’m taking my business to new heights. But I need your help to do that! I can’t grow if I’m constantly being restricted by other consultants. So thank you in advance for even reading through this and I truly hope that I have given someone some new insight on this subject!

Hustle & Hugs,

Melissa Fietsam

Create an Offer on your Facebook Business Page

Posted on

This is one of the coolest tools on your Facebook Business Page!

You can create an OFFER! Check this out:

So what would you link it to?

  1. Link to your opportunity page. When someone asks you for information on the opportunity, you can share the link for this offer and it will send them directly to YOUR site!
  2. When someone asks about booking, you can send them directly to YOUR site with the booking tab on your site. So they can see the benefits of hosting a party with you.
  3. Create an offer for a tab that links to the customer specials on your site.
  4. Create a “landing page” on your blog or Facebook page that talks about joining a Hostess of the Month Club, hosting a fundraiser, literally anything you want!

How can you share it?

  1. When someone asks about information, you have it at your fingertips and you look incredibly professional!
  2. You can share these in your Facebook events
  3. You can share these in your customer group

Want to know something extra cool?

When someone clicks on this, they will get a REMINDER notification about whatever they clicked on!! How cool is that?!

Someone said they don’t have the “OFFERS” tab on their business page:

Go to your page

There is a menu on left hand side

Click on manage tabs

Click on “add tab”

Click on “offers”

BAM! You just added it to your page!

Now it’s time to go rock your business!

Hustle & Hugs,

Melissa Fietsam

Graphics: How to Create Amazing Content

Posted on Updated on

Have you ever looked at someone else’s graphics and said, “How did they DO that?!”. Or…”Where in the world do they find those cool graphics?”.

Well, I’m no expert, but I get by pretty well. So I want to show you some things I’ve done and some tips and tricks to help you get started!

First, you can’t do ANYTHING worth doing, without investing some time into it. It took a lot of practice and a lot of research. Was it HARD? No. Was it FRUSTRATING at times? Yes. But was it worth it? Heck yeah!

Here’s some graphics I created with a program called Canva. It’s a FREE website where you can create your own graphics. I’m going to give you LINKS to the video tutorials that helped me get started designing great graphics.

And I learned everything from a Cinchshare Facebook post that I’ll share with you below.

Rules of Graphics & Where to Find Them:

So, first…let me throw out some etiquette tips on graphics. NEVER, and I mean NEVER take someone else’s graphic and change the information to your own and use it. The ONLY exception to that is if you have permission from the original creator to do that. This goes for Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, blogs, anything…do not take someone else’s hard work and claim it for your own without permission!

Now…let me send you to a Cinchshare post that talks about WHERE to find great FREE graphics that you can edit for your own business. And you’ll want to follow that page while you’re over there. Cause…those people are smart peeps. And they post a lot of really great stuff you don’t want to miss! Here’s the link to the post that tells you how to find free graphics:

FREE GRAPHICS: https://scontent-iad3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/14494657_1337316782960250_5533310808981908782_n.jpg?oh=815bde544d975b46f6a9e7edbafb6c64&oe=590E1B18

Now How to Get Started Creating & Editing in Canva:

I had NO idea what I was doing in Canva. I was a die hard fan of Picmonkey.com. And I still use Picmonkey on occasion, but if you want amazing, professional, classy photos, I highly suggest Canva.com.

So here are the people at Cinchshare again, making my life easier and teaching me how to reach for the stars! Heili Erika, pretty cool kat, walks you through a series of videos on how to get started on Canva. And…you can actually use Canva INSIDE of your Cinchshare account if you have one.

So check out this playlist on YouTube and do it when you have TIME. This will not be an overnight success. But you will get better and better every single time you create something. I learn something new every single day! And I LOVE IT!! This playlist will get you started¬†and there’s tons more on YouTube. Don’t know how to do something? Search YouTube for the answer. You have zero excuses anymore!!

So here’s to all you creative monsters who have been hiding behind, “I just can’t do that”…now you CAN. There goes Melissa…taking your excuses away AGAIN! #YouAreWelcome ūüôā

Create Original Graphics with Word Swag App

Posted on

It is so important to create your own original content. And Word Swag is an app that helps you do that!

Check out this tutorial I made for you:

Something I like to do:

I go to Pinterest:

type certain words in the search bar: courage quotes, strength quotes, funny mom quotes. And when I find one I like, I create my own graphic for it in Word Swag. Then schedule them all in Cincshare.com to post one quote daily at 9am.

I go to Instagram:

You can actually search hashtags, did you know that? So I’ll go search for: #Business #success #bosslady. Certain key words and browse through the quotes to find one I like and then recreate my own.

I go to Twitter:

You can do the same thing as Instagram

I go to Facebook:

You can do the same as Instagram and Twitter

Now you can go make your own awesome graphics!

Have a blessed Saturday!

New Way to Facebook Party in 2017

Posted on

I’m mixing it up for 2017!

I will be hosting my Facebook parties on my Facebook Business Page for my customers from now on. And only hosting 2 a month. Check this out:

Why host it on your Business page:

Because it is public. And that means it is searchable content.

Connections:

You’re automatically sending people to your public page by hosting your events from there

Time Management:

By only hosting 2 events, you’re saving yourself time:

-you only have one event to keep up

-you can easily check daily for comments and answer quickly

-if you have to add something randomly, you’re only dealing with one event to add to

Access Past Events:

When something new pops up, even 3 months later…you have fewer events to go back to and post an update: a new kit, a sale, whatever it may be.

Comfort in Numbers:

People who were afraid to host because “no one would show up” may feel more comfortable hosting as a “co-host”

Increased Interaction:

Ever have a party with NO interaction? It’s deflating. By hosting them together on one event, you’re increasing interaction, notifications, and participation in posts.

Facebook Opportunity Events:

Don’t forget to post a link in there to your opportunity events you created on your Facebook business page too. #WorkSmarterNotHarder

I’m ready to take 2017 to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL. How about you?

Nothing but Love,

Melissa Fietsam

Increase your Recruiting in 2017

Posted on Updated on

Want to increase your recruiting in 2017?

**Don’t forget to click SUBSCRIBE to my blog so you never miss a beat!

Schedule bi-weekly opportunity events on your Facebook Business Page. Check this out:

Be Consistent:

By holding these bi-weekly, you’re holding yourself accountable to work on your recruiting more in 2017

Time Management:

  1. By doing this on your business page, you can easy batch post this event by using Cinchshare. So you create the event once, schedule all the posts, and then all you have to do is click a few buttons and you’re ready to schedule the next event in just a few clicks!
  2. Also use the COPY EVENT feature on Facebook events. You can recreate any event (the title and description) and then all you have to do is change the date! This will make it so easy to do and stay consistent while saving you a TON of time!

Facebook Parties:

During your Facebook parties, invite your customers with the actual link to the Opportunity Event. You’re consistently inviting guests from EVERY party to an ongoing event each month. So I will be scheduling these on the 10th and 25th of every month. These are strategic dates for me with some other planning I’m doing. Whatever you, stay consistent.

Increase Reach:

Facebook Business Pages are PUBLIC. That means your opportunity events are public knowledge and searchable material. HELLO. HOLLA!

I hope I have truly blessed and empowered someone today. Much love,

Melissa Fietsam
