A New Way to Share Your Thirty-One Direct Sales Catalog

So, I guess I’m pretty behind on the times, cause I just found this amazing FREE app and website where you can upload a document (Word or PDF) and it puts it into a “flip pages” digital file. WOW! 

So, my friend Meaghean Farrington, showed me this. She had uploaded the entire PDF Spring catalog onto this. Now, she can send a link to a digital flip book of the catalog!

So, I took this and created the same thing for my customers and added a picture to text with it when I have a home office lead. So check out my digital flip book of the catalog:

Now that was cool, wasn’t it?! I can text the catalog to ANYONE!!! WOOOHOO!

Now when someone has a question about their order, or a hostess is at work and left her catalog, or a customer that ordered never had one to look at and needed to correct something…this is going to be so much better!

So, they’ll get a very informed email from me, and a text! With a link to view the catalog while they’re waiting for my package.

I think it’s important to show someone, who doesn’t know you at all, that you’re an actual human being. Something personal with a picture. It instantly let’s them see your face and know you are on TOP of your business. You’re taking her request seriously and you’re professional!

Thirty-One Wine Tasting Party, New Year…New Kind of Party!

So I’m sure everyone has heard of a wine tasting party. But why not have a THIRTY-ONE wine tasting party?! I have TWO already booked for January. And you know how many people I’ve asked? TWO!

So the idea is to pitch, “What about a wine tasting party? I bring all the supplies, lists, and do all the work. You just invite your friends and everyone brings their favorite bottle of wine. Celebrate the New Year with a FUN wine tasting party with your friends. AND earn Double hostess free credit in January!”

I needed something to get me super excited about the party! I’m exhausted from the holidays and projects and traveling. But THIS, this excites me!

A little apology goes a long way in customer service

I know I work in Direct Sales. But some days, I feel like I work in the “Yes I can piss you off today” department. RIGHT?! 

I shared this tip with my team that I have been using for YEARS. And it really does work on the normal person. Taking ownership of your customer’s anger sets the tone and they almost CAN’T be mad at you. Try it next time!

Here is what I posted to my team. A little apology in customer service can go a long way:

Ladies, little trick I learned along the way. I don’t know where I heard it, but I’ve done it for years and it really does work. Whenever you’re talking to a customer about something “uncomfortable”, say the words…PLEASE FORGIVE ME. It’s like a universal ice breaker and they can’t help but ease their tension and feel that you sincerely want to make something better.
Lost an order
can’t get a credit card to go through
can’t get her to close and you really need to
messed something up
whatever it is, start with please forgive me

Of course, I still have people that want to poke my eyes out, but for NORMAL people, this works
